I really am wanting to stay on track here but I have a question,  have any of you repair gents seen some of the new vetrazzo, paper stone or eco top materials fail in the same place?

The short answer to your question, no. Those materials do not require or need rodding and I really believe the problem posted was a direct function of something going wrong on the rodding process.

I have seen no failures in Vetrazzo, Paper Stone or Eco Top materials.
