I’m not saying the type of massage Lenny might find in the back alleys… find a good one,,, they will help alot!  KC

Oh and this from Mr Kentucky..who has never visited me or toured one of my factories, or ever accompanied me to a massage. Just J/k dude!

    Andy,
I have a spur on my  right heel. I can hardly walk for the pain, so I feel your pain. I’m too busy now to get it looked at, but its on the to do list.
If they give me a funny boot I will post pix..and I have Texas spurs here too (brought them with me)  to put on that boot!
Knowing China they will try to chop off my foot and give me a peg leg. If that happens I will buy a parrot, teach it to say ..”Dead Mans Chest” and “Pieces of Eight”  snag a pirate hat, an eye patch and post up a pix.

ok Tex the pirate… I might just be coming down your way afetrr Christmas…
Start saving all yer bottles and cans… we might hafta do some serious target practicing…. before we go to heartbreakers massage and spa…

    Ouch, I hear those hurt.

Maybe just cut a hole in the shoe where it hurts, that’ll fix it.

    Kelsey,

Are you coming to China or Texas?

I won’t be back stateside until right before Chinese New Year 2013 (February 2013).
    Andy,
I’m too busy to get this foot looked at . But as soon some of these projects get completed, I’m going to limp on in and have em look at it.

There is no pain now and it feels good. Still wearing the boot.

I have talked to a chiropractor / sports massage doctor and will see him this week. Hopefully that will fix the underlying issue that is causing the tendonitis.

I appreciate all the advice. It helped me track down a sports therapist. I was looking in the wrong area and going to the wrong massage place.

    Andy,

Glad to hear you are on the mend.

If you ever come to China I will hook you up with a Chinese traditional health foot massage. They believe the nerves in the foot connect to every part of the body and massaging the feet can effect the body, balance the Chi, etc.

I like to get those. Its as close as I get to the “line” being I am married.

You keep you clothes on, and a pretty, nubile, petite young lady comes in and soaks your feet in hot water in a tub, (they rollup the pant legs to the knees) with herbs and flower petals.

Then they massage you ..head, face, arms, back, Chest, legs etc. They give you things to eat and drink (slices of fruit and tea). Then they get to the feet. They even turn you over and walk on your back, and wiggle the tiny toes and ripple the feet. I have no idea how they do that! Must be some kung fu training or something. It feels awesome.

    It is to die for!

They do this thing with your hands..words can’t describe it…..they massage them, crack your knuckles and joints (they also do that for the toes), hit some acupuncture points, then a blow a breath into your palm and stroke it with a long strand of their hair. It really feels good.

Its one of the cool things I really like about China.

Over here we call that type of massage…”Lazy exersize”!

Andy, I told you to beware of the massage place that offers the “Tem Doller Speshal”….

Lenny, tell me more about the petite girl that wiggles her toes, kung fu style…

    Kelsey,

Avoid them 10 dollar massage people? Do you really think I am spending 10 bucks on a massage that lasts 30 minutes. If I want to spend 10 USD, for 30 minutes, I get 2 girls. One gets the left side, one has the right side. 10 dollars! You are just throwing money away although I have heard down in KY it does grow on trees.

When they walk on your back , I can’t explain it, except to say they know all the pressure points and move the feet in various ways to massage your back. Everything from digging in a big toe in on an acupuncture point to walking on your back ‘rippling the feet” to lightly massage you. They clinch the feet, stretch them and float over your back. The feet ripple. I can’t explain it any other way. Hint: get a small petite lady for that. I had a whale once almost kill me. She did a mean massage, but when she walked on back, I thought I had broken a rib! I was yelling to my partner…”Tell Shamu to get offa my back, she is killing me!”

Andy, glad you are on the mend!

Fabnetters, if you ever come over here, I will hook you up.

You have not lived until you experience this. Bring the wife and kids. Everyone keeps the clothes on (except for socks). The rooms hold 2-8 depending upon room, so you can eat, drink, converse and watch TV while the experience unfolds.

When I leave after one of these, I am like rubber, so loose I just bounce down the stairs.

Note really that bad Andy. I had an accident and the aftermath was Broken right leg right below my knee, Broken left ankle, broken left tibia, crushed heel and burst fractured L1 Vertebrae. 3 metal rods in legs and 44 pins.  Kind of looks like docs went wild with a nail gun on the heel.

Thanks for the pick-me-up Amir. I feel much better now

Yea, mine is not really that bad at all. The boot was inconvenient but it got me on the right track with some help from Kelsey on his Chiropractor friend.

From the date on the x-ray, it looks like a recent injury. Do you still have lots of pain?

Yeah it happened on June 2nd and I had series of surgeries on June 15th and 19th. I am back working again and I am walking without anything special. Miracle of medicine. I do get some swelling and am sore at nights. Also when temperature changes I guess the metals get cold faster and your nerves in your legs go crazy. At the end of the day I am thankful that I am still walking, and that my back fracture does not cause any pain (however I am on 15 lbs weight limit for 2 years)

    Merry Christmas,,,
