I do alot of bathroom remodels and use my scrap SS for the tops of shower curbs, shampoo niche bottoms and seats in the shower. I tried a new product today designed to make installing a corner shower seat a breeze, and it can be used on an existing ceramic tile shower. It is basically a triangle shaped metal box that is attached to the corner of the shower approx. 19″ off the floor. Simply drill holes with 3/8″ masonry bit through the tile, attach the box with the screws provided, fill the box and the face of the box with bedding mortar, let dry and silicone solid surface to the face and the top, nothing goes on the bottom. The box is only about 4″ high so it leaves floor space as it was.
