Does anyone have the item number for the 3M tape used with v-groovers that are cutting polyester sheet goods?

3M #355 is what I have used for all types of solid surface and did not have any problems. There was another # reccomended for the poly products that was a lot more aggressive in sticking, and a lot more money too.

Is everyone sure? I use #425. I checked on line and it looks like #355 is a shipping tape. Maybe I’m looking at the wrong stuff though.

425 is a aluminum foil tape, 355 is a heavy duty packaging tape with many uses. see the link for more info: http://multimedia.mmm.com/mws/mediawebserver.dyn?6666660Zjcf6lVs6EVs666&yACOrrrrQ

3M355 is a packaging tape but at 3.5 mil it’s the reccomended tape for v-grooving. Kind of overkill for packaging unless you’re shipping bricks. HYSTICK has a tape that we’ve sold in 2″ that one of our customers uses. It’s termed a “Hi-Temp” tape and looks like masking tape but a lot thicker…and stickier.
