We noticed our spindle on our Andersen sounded sick on Tuesday. Called Andersen they had one shipped up and scheduled a tech to show up today. Just in time the spindle seized Wednesday PM. There here now putting in the new one. Should be up and running in about two hours.Thank goodness its still under warranty.

The tech told us we should be running a spindle warm up program each day before using.

Anybody doing that?

Yea, I do the warmup each morning and if the machine sits idle for more than 1 1/2″. My tech center said that was the single most important thing to keep the spindle lasting a long time.

Same here, if our machine has sat for a couple of days or it is really cold we will do two warm-ups.
