    Yea it looked like that stuff DIYers use to hold material when they are routing on a table. I think I also say that stuff used in some kitchen drawers. Makes it so the pans don’t slid around.

    Jon,

    The pad looks just like the friction pads we use to hold small parts when routing by hand. They are sold for shelf liners in kitchens as well. We also use them in our RV, it helps to hold things in place when on the road.

    I wouldn’t have thought they would hold parts under the loads imposed by a CNC. They are also a little squishey and I would have thought that tight tolerances would be hard to achieve.
