Does anyone know of a post of a person that has compared several 7-8″ turbo blades for performance in 2 and 3 cm granite slab cutting. Speed (inches per minute) is number one, chipping is second and cost or cost per inch is third. I have used a lot of crummy blades over the years, and am tired of the guessing game with prices varying from $18 to $130 a blade.

I’ve wondered the same thing. I think it is difficult to test blades because you have to use them so long to determine actual wear. Not to mention, different stones are tougher on blades than others.

Everyone has their favorite but have no evidence the blade is actually better than others.

    Very frustrating.
