When will these non stop sales calls end? I swear that at least 25% of the calls are some BS sales nonsense. Collections companies, google maps guy, stone cutting wheels (cheapest and best), insurance, workers comp specialist, internet site builders, SEO specialist and everything in between.

How the hell do you stop it?

Yeah, The Google guy drives me nuts.  He won’t leave me alone.  And then there is the phone service people.  They just dn’t understand when I say I am not interested because they cannot aren’t going to save me any money.  I don’t know how many times I have asked to not be called back.

I started asking them if they want to buy a countertop…all of them..I use that time to quickly use the aggravating time i wasted walking to the phone or stop what i was doing to only find out they need to update my google info..or my business will not be listed…I then find out its a scam line to make you pay for a listing…true we wont be listed on their whoever they are page…but we are on the internet.

I often wonder with the technology we have today, what would happen if I removed my phone number as most of my new business comes from email or social media stuff..Maybe i can just give out my number through email inquiry once i find out at the end of the day they are qualified potential buyers and not bs..hmmm It sounds like posting your phone number may be as equivalent to placing an ad in the phone book

    Greenie,
If you have a phone, I does not matter if it is listed or not. They will find you.

Most of my Google calls are recordings, so I can just hang up. For sales calls with a real person, if I am busy I will tell them so and they have to make it quick. If they go through their regular routine, I tell them I don’t have that kind of time, wish them well, then hang up.

The big offender in my book is the West Coast tool seller guys. Several different companies, but obviously all the same parent company. They are relentless in their calling and will not stop trying to sell you until they hang up on you. I really do not like to be rude, but these guys have p-ssed me off to the point that, should they call, I hang up in their ears.

I have gone as far as talking to a manager, who absolutely refused to take me off their calling list, and told me right out that they will continue to call no matter what I do.

I have been telling the people they have reached a personal phone number. They don’t typically hear me say my company name cause they are clicked on after I start talking.

I have no idea if it is working or not.

I like playing with them. Yesterday a guy asked me how old my security system was. I told him 51 years old. He asked what type it was a told him the fist of fury model 1962. He didn’t get it.

It went on for a while cant remember what. I said but it was fun

Hello Dave, job is going good. It’s taken more time Than I thought to adjust. But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel .

It’s a lot of fun to visit different shops.

Ugh, my model is a ’60. I have a two year older model than you two. Unfortunately it sometimes performs like a ’52 or earlier.
