Through all this down turn in the economy…   I have watched and purchased many items used for fabrication.  Whether listed here, EBay or elsewhere, I have yet to find any straightedges for sale.

My phenolic straight edges have a few flaws after years of use. I would like to add another set.   I really thought I might find some here or there, but nothing has shown up for years.

Just wonder why I have not seen any edges,,, when I have  bought Paraligns, dani Clamps, tools, machines and almost every other thing we need…

I’m thinking that straight edges get dinged up more often than the other tools and people then assume that they aren’t worth anything.

We had a metal fabricator make us some aluminum ones back in the day. They were 13′ long and straight as you could get them being that long.

Solid surface makes for great straight edges as well. Problem is you have to have a way to cut them perfectly straight.
