    What do you use to glue in the steel?

    I used liquid nails but it doesn’t dry very fast.

    Doesn’t the new Glue Boss adhesive work with steel Andy ?

    I drill some 1/4″ holes at each end and the middle of the steel to mechanical lock dabs of hot glue. Also dabs of red devil industrial clear silicon. Hot glue sometimes lets go on steel, especially if the steel is cool. This trick really helps.

    I forgot about the Glue Boss adhesive. I may just try that.

    Never thought about drilling holes and using hot glue.

    I have learned that getting really flat plywood is a huge help. Might cost a bit more, but the metal bar just lays so nicely when both are flat.
