It needs a little work and a frame 2007 with 38,000 miles, but the price was right.
I will post the finished photos when my son get it done.

May 23, 2013 at 11:26 am #75487Andy GravesKeymasterI hope you know what you are doing. That looks like a lot of work. If you can get it fixed up that will be a nice installation vehicle.
June 12, 2013 at 1:39 am #75590David GerardMemberHows the truck rehab going Dani? My daughter tried to occupy the same space as a tall stump the other day with her friend’s mom’s car. She creamed the passenger door. After lucking out with a wrecking yard having a replacement door of the same color I went on you tube, low and behold there were videos of how to get the complicated door panels off.
So…try you tube for all your “how to” needs. Ha!June 12, 2013 at 12:46 pm #75598Andy GravesKeymasterYea Dani, post a picture when it’s done. Looks impossible to fix.

Im reading a great book right now called “Truck” by Micheal Perry. funny as hell! the guy writes like Stuart Mcfarland.
if ya’ll like fun stories and old trucks…give it a read.August 16, 2013 at 1:07 pm #76057Andy GravesKeymasterNice Model A. Do you install with that vehicle while the other is being fixed?
It sounds so easy just to swap out the parts onto a new frame. Betcha it isn’t.
August 16, 2013 at 11:44 pm #76065Lenny EMemberAwesome work Dani. Could you have just straightened the frame on one of those frame straightening machines? I had to do that once on my Malibu after a “miscalculation”.
August 17, 2013 at 2:38 pm #76072Dani HomrichMemberAndy,
No I’m still driving my 99 with 230,000 miles on it, but I do drop off boxes at the UPS box with the A.
Lenny
There is no fixing this frameThis is the cab removed from the old frame
This is the damage side of the old frame
Had a little set back I need another trans and torque converter
I got another trans today from a salvage yard in Clair, Mi for $600.00
This is the new frame
The cab needs to go on the frame rack to fix the cab mounts and the floor board on the drivers side. The trans was really the only surprise so far. This truck is still a really great deal. I got the truck w/shipping from Ft Wayne, IN for $5206.00, and I have spent $1900.00 on parts and by the time I add another 3500.00 for paint and labor and another 800.00 for extras, I’m still under $12,000.00 for a truck that is worth $21,000.00.
August 17, 2013 at 11:37 pm #76082Lenny EMemberDani,
Wow, that is amazing and quite a lot work. I am truly impressed.
August 19, 2013 at 12:18 pm #76086John ChristensenMemberNice project Dani,
That is a whole lot more involved than fixing a cook top cutout.
