Matt,

I just talked with my Formica Distributor. They are telling me that I can no longer order single sheet of postforming material. The minimum is now two sheets. Is this something you can verify for me?

Is it a specific size you are trying to order?

I went and clarified this with customer service. 30″ wide sheets requires a minimum order of 2. We cut this from a 5′ sheet You can still order single sheets of postforming like a 3′, 4′ or 5′ widths

Actually, this is no different from W/A, Pionite or Nevamar, I think. W/A simply says 30″ wide is not available (same thing, really).

It was a 5x that we ordered. The distributor is going to ask again and let me know.

Matt,

My distributor called back. She asked for a supervisor, and they confirmed what you said. She also put in a cryptic “for now”, but that’s good enough for me.

You have just saved me a whole bunch of aggravation and reflection on how I would handle this. I can live with the no-split rule on the 5x’s. Heck, everyone else is there already.
