    Over on the LEED points thread here, Some comments made me pursue the Green countertop thingy.

    I followed some links through to some descriptions of countertop materials.

    Amongst the different choices, was a material called EnviroSLAB, with a close product called EnviroGLAS right after.

    Am I wrong in thinking that, after milling, at the very least, there are exposed sides of glass? It kind of freaked me out a little bit.

    Further, is it possible that, in some circumstances, a chip might come out after installation and ownership passes to the consumer? Is this worse than any other material (i.e. Quartz)? Is there a different safety standard in fabrication?

    And finally, am I being a ninny wuss even thinking about it?
