The other day, I had to make a cutout for an old cooktop. We had the make and model number, but I couldn’t find the specs on their website. I called the manufacturer, and they didn’t even have the specs on file. After a few minutes, they asked me for a fax number and said they would fax out the specs. They came from here: http://www.dexpress.com/. It looks like it costs some money if you are going to use it often, but you can use it seldomly for free. One thing is for sure – it was a lot better than having to send the templater back out to remove the cooktop and measure the cutout in the existing top or having the installers rout the cutout in the field.

    Have a good one,

    Seth
