What does everyone typically give/get for a holiday bonus? Is it a flat cash amount? Percentage of salary? Jelly of the month club? Nothing?
Very interested to hear the variety.
Thanks and Happy Holidays!!!
In the past we have given percentages of salary. No hard feelings that way. No subjective analysis of who deserves more or less.
We give out a flat rate, but it is no where near what it used to be.
Remember, you need to withhold soc sec and med, but not income tax.
whats a christmas bonus? I got a pink slip for 2 weeks off once right around the holidays, I didn’t use it.
Silly Alaskan, that was a Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon.
Dude,
Your’e peeps get actual holidays and bonuses? Can I come work for you?
Our guys give a bonus per se.
They bone us every chance they frickin get!
We just do a flat rate. Everybody gets a different amount based on their skill level, pay and reliability.
It is really nothing more than a nice Christmas gift. In the past we gave more but have had to cut back a bit in recent years.
We also give gas cards from the local gas station. Everyone loves free gas.
Back in the day we used to buy a bunch of $25 gift cards and put them in a basket. We would then pass the basket around the table until all the cards were gone. They all ended up with the same amount but they essentially got to choose which ones they wanted. I think they used many of them as gifts to their friends and family.
