Dave, how big of an air compressor do I need to run one of those three inch air sanders you sell. I will only be running one at a time, using it for sinks, and sink cutouts?

    Norm,

Not to answer for Dave here, but its not the size of compressor it is the CFM it will put out. I learned the hard way that my 60 Gallon 7HP compressor only puts out 11CFM and guess what a 5″ sander takes 15CFM do the math compressor will never keep up not even long enough to do a sink. So check out the CFM’s before worring about motro size etc. Would recomend at least a 60 to 80 gallon tank though, but bigger is better if have space.

Norm, save your money. I take it you’ll be running it in the shop. A quality 3M sanding sponge works great…by hand.
