    I think it might have been Dave on a different thread that mentioned engineered marble.

    We just got samples of a product called Portafino. Essentially, marble scrap reconstituted into a poly matrix. Interestingly enough, it still needs sealing, but appears to be a bit harder than most natural marbles.

    Does any FabNetter have any history with this product?

    Tom, I think it was a type of e-marble. Not sure. It was however, in itchy experience and an utter crap product.

    Legacy makes a nice looking E Marble product, in 1 cm also for showers.
