I have received a question from http://www.CountertopReview.com “Ask a Professional” and he said his Caesarstone Blizzard was staining.  He has tried Windex with no luck.

The interesting thing is that the other side of the kitchen is the same color without any issue at all.

Any ideas what this may be?

Thanks in advance for the help,

    Andy

    Andy:

I’ll bet it’s an etch, not a stain. Can it be felt?

The very fine particulate quartz allows more of the polyester to be exposed to the surface, making them less resistant to scratching and more subject to problems such as this. If its is a “stain” try Ka Boom, it does work well on quartz and granite.

From the photo I would agree with Joe

I will ask if it feels rough. What would etch the surface of quartz material though?

Many things can cause it to etch, the same as with solid surface, keep in mind its a product full of resin.

Of course standard house hold items will etch stone (granite, marble and such) also.

Yep, he said the material was rough.

Has anyone had success repairing an etch mark in Quartz?
