They are based in Washington state, I believe, and their website is http://www.smokeandmirrorsllc.com – you can find the article here: http://www.issuu.com/isfa/docs/q1_2010_isfa_mag_web_reduce/36

August 19, 2013 at 3:23 pm #76088Kevin ColeMemberHey Matt – I know a little about Krion. The material is manufactured in Spain by a company called Systempool, which is part of the Porcelenosa Group. I did an article about a project in Krion in the latest issue of Countertops & Architectural Surfaces magazine. The material was used in a cool project at the Radisson Blu Hotel at the Mall of America.
If you would like a contact with the company, drop me an email at kevin@isfanow.org and I can assist.
Best,
Kevin

When it was scratched, the scratches were not white, but rather a dark gray and when scorched it was much less noticeable than the previous version of the same color. There were several theories as to how they are doing it, but of course they wouldn’t reveal that.
Anyway, the idea was that it would hold up much better to use and be easier to renew if it were damaged. Of course, the “upgraded” version isn’t on the market yet…

Hope things are going good for you and yours.

I love to see the progress you are making. Any idea of what something like this might cost a consumer to have done? I don’t need an exact figure, just an idea…
