Hi Sean
We are based in South Yorkshire, and have an Anderson CNC (3 axis) with access to an Anderson (5 axis).
There are a good number of UK fabricators with CNCs. Where are you based?Jeff

High proportion of our work is white or variants of white. So much white we suffer with snow blindness!
The beauty of white is that it is a classic, that does not date easily, and allows the end user to add colour in other areas at a later stage without big cost implications (sometimes).Jeff

But his poem is just great! He would be impressed with your suggestion Andy – the great JO giving a video rendering, come on Jon.Jeff

This is going to be a long haul!September 5, 2011 at 5:41 am #69286Jeff VickersMemberHi Jon,
It looks great, hope its not another one for the UK!Keepem coming.JeffSeptember 5, 2011 at 5:38 am #69285Jeff VickersMemberI noted with interest that quite a bit of the Festo stuff has its roots in China, as do parts of my BMW motorcycle!

Will you please copy me in.We find for countertops that the drawing package that comes with the LT laser is very quick for optimisation & slab layout.August 1, 2011 at 6:14 am #68802Jeff VickersMemberHi Andy,
belated best wishes for your fortieth! My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary the same day (we married one year before you were born)JeffJuly 16, 2011 at 7:08 am #68614Jeff VickersMemberLenny that was hilarious, if I had done that to my beloved! Oh I dread to think of the consequences

June 29, 2011 at 10:16 am #68327Jeff VickersMemberJeff, wow. I am not seeing any of what you are. Very interesting. I wonder if the other side of the pond is getting some serious rejects of product. I don’t blame you a bit for moving on.
Tom,
I do wonder, or am I paranoid!Re Staron: We have had no issues with seams in 7 years (touch wood) trading with them, we are very busy at the minute with the biggest fabrication job we have ever done and so far, so good, as it was Staron whom put our name forward. We find the sheet a pleasure to work with except the odd bit of tension. (mainly a Staron phenomena)June 29, 2011 at 8:01 am #68324Jeff VickersMemberOver the last 11 years our sales have gone from 100% Corian to around 60% of t/over and it is diminishing.
We find Corian to be the weakest product in terms of quality, it being the only product we have to rectify before beginning production, the sheet is frequently cupped, varies in thickness and you should see some of the sheet we have rejected (divots missing, black dots, uneven distribution of crunchies et al)Every bowl flange requires 20-40mins work (flattening). Not to mention plenty of faulty glue. But according to DuPont we are unlucky as other fabricators have no issues.Corian have a great range of colours and the bowl offering is immense, but they are living in la la land as their competitors are driving ahead.Hanex offer an excellent quality product alongside Staron plus others, however, the service levels have improved beyond Corian plus we have had no issues with either product in terms of range or quality (finished both sides, flat and protective layer). So as far as I can see from an UK perspective for Corian “there may be trouble ahead” you cannot charge premium prices for non premium quality.Just my two penneth.June 10, 2011 at 10:44 am #68112Jeff VickersMemberLenny, are you a bad ass
June 9, 2011 at 5:15 am #68104Jeff VickersMemberAndy that is beautiful, we do a lot of the Rocky colours but we have not done an Aztec Gold – yet!
Re – PF if the sander has their nose rubbed in it and they inhale it – to much LOL -
