Thank you for the kind words. We like to consider ourselves leaders in the industry. Meld is a design -focused custom manufacturer of eco-sensitive concrete products and materials. We specialize in commercial and OEM projects with an emphasis on product design and volume. Over the past decade we have cast several hundred sinks. All have been made to order. We are actually getting ready to launch 4-5 new shallow sink designs. The sinks will be offered as both integral and counter mounted vessels. We have the ability and capacity to create and manufacture any sink design at any volume. For one-offs we typically model the sinks in 3D and cut the sink mold parts via CNC. Depending on how many units are cast we can make the mold parts out of anything from coated EPS and MDF to urethane rubber, fiberglass and thermoformed plastic. We’ve used pretty much most types of typical drop in and undermount sinks with our concrete counter tops. Undermount sinks are fastened to the underside of the concrete tops via mechanical fasteners, adhesives, or peripheral sink mounting devices. We’ve also seen independent precast concrete sinks attached to the underside of concrete counters though it’s just as easy to cast the sink into the counter as an integral element.
