MemberOk today I figured I would learn to use autocad. After 8 hours of reading and practicing I drew my first drawing. I wanted to upload it to let others look at it just to tell me if I was on the right track but I cannot figure out how to upload it. Imagine that. lol. Not enough time to read a bunch more so I will go home now.

MemberTravis, Well it’s nice to see my son and in-laws are not the only Bronco fans.(big time) Everytime I bought my son a Dolphin item my mother in law would get him an autographed something or other by Elway. Damn tough to compete against that. Did I mention taking him to training camp and shaking Elway hand. He’s brain washed for life. ha ha

MemberTravis,
I received your drawing today and handed it off to Travis. He’s our programmer, Photo-top and toolpath person. He is very highly skilled. I told him to call you and help walk you through your drawing. I hope he was of help to you. He went to college for CAD, so he is extremely knowledgeable. He is also extremely fast. I have always said the only dumb question is the question not asked. So be sure and ask Travis any questions you might have. If you are just starting out with Auto-Cad, Fabricators Choice has some classes. I don’t think they are very expensive and would be worth while.

MemberMory, I talked with Travis for a while today and he was very helpful. It was the whole offset button that I was missing out on. haha. I do have alot to learn and have been doing some online type of free classes just to get the basics. If any of you guys have new people starting out this is a great place to start just to get the basics. Thanks for your help Mory I realy appreciate it.

KeymasterTravis,
I talked to Mory today and he said you were talking to his CAD guy. If you talked to him, there is absolutely nothing I can do to help. He is good.

MemberWell thanks to Mory and his guy Travis I got through my first autocad drawing. Sent it to my buddy who owns a map company, he printed it full size and here is a pic of the almost finished product. It should look way cool once installed.[THB]Tricky Top1.JPG[/THB] Keep in mind this was all done by hand.[THB]Sanding.JPG[/THB]
