Every now and then we received e-mails from supplliers and vendors promoting products, which most of the time those e-mails are welcome. There are even some vendors that we subscribe to their newsletters. Sometimes we get some e-mails that we can’t get rid of. After three attempts requesting we be removed from their list, they still haven’t. I receive e-mails at my house and our staff receives separate e-mails. So, I do not want to watch any live online demonstrations. Shame on me for ordering online. Next time I will remember not to include my e-mail adddress. There were no boxes to check for solicitation e-mails.

I know what you mean Mory, it gets very frustrating. I just love the way the spam detectors work. Mine will rarely let one get through.

    Mory,

If you click the box you are allowing them to send the email through. The problem if you don’t allow the sender through sometimes you won’t get the order confirmation. Kinda a catch-22.

Who keeps emailing you? I have recently go an email from SpecialtyTools about their online show. Half of the emails are just a bunch of html code and the other half get sent about three times, all in a row. There is probably a problem they are having with their emailing system. I signed up to receive the email, so it is no problem for me, but I don’t know why it has to be sent so many times.

Well, call me old school but our website DOES NOT send out any e-mails period. Not set up that way…never will be. You may get a sales flyer in the mail but that’s it. I don’t believe in sending out what I can’t stand getting.

    Andy,

Now that you brought it up, yes it is Specialty Tools. I thought I would check my spam folder this morning and low and behold they sent another one. It said something about dusting off my keyboard. I’ll tell you what I am going to do with my keyboard. Also, I am trying to figure out how they got my home e-mail address. I know of only one place that the e-mail was used.

    Dave,

Thanks for just sending flyers. I do read them. Besides I would welcome your e-mails.

Just got off the phone with Ken from Specialty Tools. They are fixing the problem. We counted that I had received 16 e-mails in 5 days. Apparently there was a malfunction. Glad they are fixing the problem. Apparently Paula our contact person is back. So I am sure that should help them out. She really knows what she is doing. Just thought I would add that bit of information.

Consider it done Norm but don’t ask me to mail any suggestions for John Grudens offense which quite frankly, is offensive.

Dave if we could keep a quarterback for more than a year maybe the team could mesh.

Agreed Norm. Look for the big yellow envelope in the mail.

Is it just a coincidence or has everyone else been getting hammered with “Stone” magazines, ads, newspapers, faxes and emails? It seems when ISSFA aligned itself with the Stone industry, this is when it started. Depending on if this is happening to anyone else, I cannot think of any other place they would have received my information other than from ISSFA. Speaking of that, did anyone get the newspaper from “The Wet Rag”? It has a hilarious article on the front page about why they are not going to the stone show. Someone needs to invite that guy to the BB, he says what he thinks…LOL

    Just thinking out loud…. kc

Invite him. That would be great to have more stone people.
