MemberNorm is right, I dont think they are as relevant as they used to be. My other company was a member of the BBB for 5 years and we only got one job from it, so it did not get renewed this past year. The only plus was the cool logo you can add to you website or showroom.

MemberI still belong to BBB. I’m considering not re-upping this time around, but I think that every year and end up doing it anyway. I’ve only had one instance where there was any kind of complaint, but even they agreed it was nothing to do with me or my work.Tom

MemberShane, good question.
Aside from group buying, which I never take advantage of, I get to use the logo, and I get full reports on requests from consumers about me. That can be interesting, but I think it is true that the outfit is not as relevant as they used to be.The reports just say that a request for info was received and, since I have never had an issue with them that stuck, always comes through that way. I honestly cannot tell you that they are worth it.

MemberYeah Al, she sounds like one of those customers who will never be happy unless you give her a some money back. I hope you don’t fold, but can understand why if you have to. It is sad how the legal system works. If someone sues you and loses, they should be required to pay all of your court costs and reimburse you for time lost at work. It rarely seems to work that way, but I think there would be a lot less frivolous lawsuits if it did. I remember reading a post once where Mory had a problem customer with a similar attitude. He was able to shut her down almost immediately. Maybe he could help.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
