I know this is a old post but we use a marine adhesive glue in the grey colour to match the stainless bowl and if the bowl is warped we just bend it to a close enough straight finish
I know this is even 3 yrs later, but I’m grateful to have found this thread…just getting ready to undermount a blanco Stainless undermount sink in a laminate countertop…and was really excited about the 3M 5200.
My question is: What adhesive exactly are you using to get the GREY color?
The Blanco sink I am using has a small radius and therefore using GREY would be a big help… I cannot find a GREY version of any 3M Polyurethane adhesive! ( White and black and mahogany only)
Thanks so much,April 2, 2013 at 5:29 pm #75036Steve MehanMemberPosted By rdolesh on 02 Apr 2013 11:42 AM

Thanks so much,What blanco sink are you trying to undermount?
I wouldnt try to undermount a traditional stainless undermount sink in laminate without doing this.

Thanks for your response, (I was thinking I would get an email–still learning how to use this forum) I purchased a Blanco BL441024. I loved this sink because it fills a big void in the market between tiny and huge sinks. Also It has a small radius at the top of the bowl. I understand (have watched all the Karran and Bevel-edge.com install videos) the purpose of a 90 degree ‘no’ radius edge, and how it makes it easy to route a clean transition. Although, I wonder if a ‘small’ radius sink would be possible and a slight reveal and a strong (3m 5200) supporting glue would hold up.
I did some testing and realize that the big problem, I see at least, is that if the laminate is not ‘rigidly’ supported, it can crack and break much easier…so I’m realizing why it’s probably not worth pursuing this approach.
I may just get a acrylic sink or get a bigger (not ideal) Karran sink.I want to try to upload a picture with the approach I was thinking for undermounting the sink (different than yours) …I’ll try. I uploaded to flickr ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/rdolesh/8631492023/in/photostream )

They can supply a solid surface trim ring and adhesive that can me mounted for rigidity and to keep moisture away from the particle board underneath. Here’s a video:
