MemberJust wanted to thank all of you that took the time to stop by the EOS Booth in Orlando, it was great to meet all of you and put some names and faces together. The response to the new EOS colors was overwhelming, look for their release May of 2007. I will try to get some pics posted for those that didn’t get a chance to see them. (Andy, how do I add pics to my thread?)
EOS also won the 2007 Envision at the show, watch for a press release with photos soon!
2007 has started off strong, look for some new and exciting things from EOS in the months to come including, newly designed sample boxes, new regional warehouses, and some exciting new looks.
Thanks again to all of you!

KeymasterNice to see you were there. You guys have come a long way in three years. I remember the first booth you had. Kinda funny looking back on it. The booth you had this time was excellent.
Plus, you made out well with your location, right next to the Integra Booth and the “Bar”. I think everyone used your booth as a cafeteria there at the end.
To post pictures all you have to do is click on the icon in the toolbar right above the text box that says, “Insert/Edit Image”. It looks like a mountain with the sun in the background. If you have any problems, just send them to me and I will upload them for you.

MemberGordon,
Your new colors look like they might be winners.
Stock at the end of May? Sounds good.
You are not making them in half inch, I take it?
Tom
ps – on the other thing, I have some final questions before I make my move. My home email is info@balconystudio.com, work is info@mathertops.com.
I want to call you. Can you send me your number?
Thanks.

MemberTom,
You may know this already, but their current colors are available in 1/2 and 2cm. Not sure about the new ones. Gordon has be VERY helpful about answering all of my questions concerning the product.
Looking forward to trying it out, as soon as I sell a 3cm job. Next day delivery to S. Ga(on a 1/2 job)

Gordon,
How will the distribution of the new boxes be handled?

MemberChris,
Yeah, but I think ther new colors are only available in 2cm and 3cm. Since I’m new to the 3cm game, I will probably only consider 2 and 3. Nobody seems to be big on a 3cm deck, 2cm splash with cove and scribe. I’m guessing that is because the whole point is reduced labor, and a cove here might actually take longer. Certainly for those using the Steve L patented cove routers of carnage. I don’t think Ted and Miriam at Auto V are quaking in their boots It shouldn’t hurt them too much, that is unless the prices actually swing the market. (it was nice to see them at the show. After three years they remembered me and asked about my wife, whom they met, and my two kids, of whom we only spoke).
I’m starting to look at 3cm with the idea that here is a reduced price that doesn’t reduce the finish or the quality. Stackers versus Droppers (The West Side Story of the solid surface world – okay, maybe not) are both marginalized, so there’s the whole zen thing.
The only problem is it suffers the same way that v-grooved tops do. There’s kind of a ceiling, beyond which they run out of gas. Kind of like watching a live action movie of a cartoon character.
I owe Gordon a call, maybe tomorrow.

I just got an email from Mory. Apparently his omnipresent camera caught us kissing and making up at the show. His finger is one click away from embarassing us forever unless you send him your half of the blackmail money immediately.
Please hurry,
Joe

MemberChris,
Thanks for the kind words, nice to finally meet you at the show. The new boxes will be sold just like the old ones, they will be on the updated order form when the new colors come out. We currently charge $12.50 per sent for the sample sets, the new sets will have all the colors in 3cm samples to show the true depth of the material, the final cost on these is to be determined.
New EOS customers usually get their first set at no charge so they can start showing the product.
Because of the depth of the new colors, they will only be offered in 2cm and 3cm. The entire concept of EOS is labor savings with a thick sheet, the 1/2″ material we offer is supposed to be utilized for verticle applications.
For those of you that haven’t seen pics of completed EOS jobs, check out the photo gallery, I added a couple of pics there.
