Hi Guys      A few of you have mentioned applying tape to the back side of a miter fold before you V-groove it to hold all the pieces together. What kind of tape do you recommend and where can I get some ?       The tape I had used before was clear packing tape and it left a sticky residue that was tough to get off.

Scotch #355. Two-way stretch. Pricey, though.
Residue does not seem to bother us much, but we don’t V-groove the edge much. You don’t need to remove it at all if you are coving.

Scotchbrand 3M tape #355 2″ wide. Don’t buy the wider it will cost you a fortune. It leaves a little bit of residue but not like regular packaging tape. Plus it is really strong and thick.

    Andy,
We use the wider tape for the coving. I think it works better, or at least gives us more confidence.
We cove on the Streibig, rather than a V-groover.
