Al and Dave:
I suggest that a member in good standing demand a copy of the board meeting minutes. If you’ve paid dues, they are your property and you don’t need to go to Henderson to read them.

I know one thing that happenned.
My good friend Kurt Bonk, board member and all-around good guy, called me and said they were looking for nominations for the new board.
I respectfully declined partly due to the fact that I don’t feel extremely qualified for the position and the fact that you couldn’t pay me to walk into that hornet’s nest right now.
I hope Kurt and the rest of board have good luck finding some qualified board members to nominate.
Is it too late for Joe C. to pay his dues and nominate him to be on the board? If we can I would rejoin and pay his dues. Joe C. for Board Member, maybe future president. I’d even nominate him for director. That would be a good healthy start.

Al, you seem to be the most pro-active poster here that wants to do something with ISSFA. I would like to see you pay your dues, and become a board member. If the BOD truely wants to have someone else on the board, then they will await your application approval, and vote when it becomes active.
This way, EVERYONE will know the BOD wants a change.

Your encouragement makes me feel like it’s time to put my time where my typing is. I emailed a board member and experssed my interest in a board seat with an acknowledgement of the difficulty I may face even re-becoming a member. Not due to qualifications/eligibility of course, purely politics. He was less than enthusiastic.
If I get nominated, I will join and serve. It would be and honor and a pleasure.
