In the spirit of the Fabricator Network, here are some of our jigs that help with common tasks.

I would love to see what you guys are using to get things done. Or atleast what you used to do in the Before Time (pre-CNC).

Poor Mans Beaver (no jokes, you know what I mean) It eats seams as well as lets you clean up inlays.

Micro adjustments are made by adding or removing the piece of Duct tape on the front of the base.

That is one scary looking router. We used to make stuff like that all the time back in the day. It works and it is cheap.

If you spray that saw track with dry spray silicone, it will glide along there real smooth.

That has to be the scariest beaver I have ever seen, would not want to give to a new guy.

Al, have you ever tried just hot melting two skis made from solid surface on the base of a router? When you are done cleaning up the seam all you have to do is spray some DNA on it and they fall off so you can still use the router for other applications. Also, a couple of years ago, I posted on the Geek site about a saw guide that will work with any circular saw and also comes with guide rails, the whole thing was like $200

    Shane,

Not to worry, by the time I can afford to hire a new guy, I doubt I’ll still be using that jig. I set it up, as opposed to a router on skis, to help with knocking down inlays. The skis wouldn’t let me get to the areas I needed.

Tried bolting some on, back when I was starting out with limited funds. Too much trouble taking them on and off. I need to just buy another router and set it up permanantly. Hot melting them on is a good idea, Norm.

Gee, Andy, really that was too sweet a set up to pass by. Yes, it was quite sarcastic, but funny, in a truly tasteless way.

By the way, Mr. Graves, have you seen that picture stored on the site, that , shall we say, resembles Hitler? Cough, cough…… I was learning to upload pics the other day and stumbled on it when I clicked on the search button instead of the upload button.

I didn’t know you were a history buff. Funny though, in a truly tasteless way.

Perhaps, Ptuuu, ptuuuu, would have been more appropriate.

I saw the picture. Interesting why that would be on there. Didn’t look like a fabrication picture to me.
