MemberAndy and Val:
Do you remember our breakfast at last year’s show? I had a great time and the food is always suprisingly good. I attended at the invitation of an ISSFA board member.
I just realized that if you bought a three day conference pass this year, as I have, breakfast and attendence at the ISSFA Annual Meeting is included:
3 Day Conference Pass
before Jan. 15
before March 2
after March 2 & onsite
ISSFA Member
$300
$350
$400
Non-member
$390
$440
$490
Includes Educational Sessions on Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 2 Days of Tradeshow Exhibits, Welcome Breakfast, General Session, ISSFA Annual Meeting, Thursday Night Opening Party & Friday Networking Reception.
I dont’ know about you, but I’m highly inclined to eat the food and attend the events for which I’ve paid. I’m going to be saving a spot at my table for you two and one for Mory.
See you soon,
Joe

You seem to always post alot about ISSFA I keep wondering why you don’t pay your membership dues and become a member and REAP the benefits. If you are really concerned and focus so much attention on them, then why don’t you join and do something about it. Just trying to get through all the BS.

KeymasterJoe,
Once you find out how the “Breakfast” is actually paid for you probably won’t go. I am not supporting anything ISSFA. I will only support the CYGNUS events 100%.
I don’t like being lied to and I don’t like being deceived. That’s about all I will say about the “Breakfast”

Mory:
Fortunately, things are not as they seem. Of the last twenty posts which I’ve created and/or responded to, I have only mentioned ISSFA three times. Two of these posts were regarding ISSFA history which we are condemned to repeat, lest we forget. This serves fabnet members well. Three out of twenty is not much higher, if at all, than Wags or Tom, I’m sure.
Speaking of posting alot about the same subject, I suggest you take a look at “Sandpaper and FedSawDave”, “Jobest Abrasives” and “Fastest Sanding Steps”. Nine pages of pretty much the same thing.
This thread is about getting what I’ve paid for, not particularly ISSFA. If Dave offers free next day air on merchandise, why should I tell him “No thanks, Dave, send my order snail mail.”?
I paid for the breakfast, I plan to eat it. However, I should probably get a taster/tester for my food. Any volunteers?

I knew I still had friends at ISSFA that I could count on. You won’t mind when I show up in my Fabnet shirt, I’m sure.
Thanks,
Joe

KeymasterYou should go see the shuttle launch. It is going to be cool. I talked with Dave and he said it would be worth going. It is real early in the morning though. I will eat breakfast on the road.

Andy,
When I worked for Gruber in Rockledge, we could stand out in the parking lot and watch. It was cool, you could feel the building shake when they shot rockets up and we would run outside and watch them disappear into the sky. Shuttle launches are really cool. You will be amazed as to how bright the glow is from 7 miles away (something like that is about as close as you can get. Our favorite spot was on the south side of Port Canaveral, a little tiki bar by the fishing boats called J Grills or Grills as everyone called it. Have a beer, watch the shuttle. Order the yellowfin tuna steak, blackened, rare. It’s $$$. When they say fresh catch, they mean it. The fishing boats are docked about 20 yards from the patio.

MemberMatt,
Another good spot is the Jetty at Jetty Park.
We saw it from the best public vantage point once, on the causeway, and an early a.m. shot might not be too crowded.
Andy, you might want to get in touch with the Space Center (a trip I highly recommend if you have kids or not) and see if there are tickets available for the causeway.
