MemberIt arrived at the dealer at 11:00 AM but I had some work to do. I finally got to see what I have been waiting for since October. The dealer will finish prepping it tomorrow. Better pics this weekend, if the sun shines.

MemberSo Steve,
At which speed exactly do you need to get one of those suits that help move blood to the right places?
Just wond’rin’.

Believe it or not but my neck gets sore from the high cornering G forces coming from a day at the track. This car will corner even harder. This is a GT3 RS, the most track focused Porsche ever made, and still street legal. Only 229 will be allowed into the US. My dealer is a pretty big Porsche dealer and he can only get two of these beasts. A friend is getting the other one, screaming pumpkin oarnge with black wheels and graphics. 415 hp with a singal mass flywheel. It revs instantly with a loud sharp bark. Redline is 8400, in the scream zone.

MemberSteve,
I thought immediately of you and your toy last night when I read this.
I can’t figure out why, though?

MemberThat guy must have really been a real idiot. That is not a car for the rain, the tires are just too wide. It’s also a heavy car. Sucks to be him.

KeymasterNice car Steve. Nice to see you on the Forum posting pictures. I like the green, but have never seen that color on a Porsche before. Did you custom order the color, or is that the way it came to the dealer?

MemberThis color is only for the RS series of GT3s. I ordered this car in Oct,06. Almost all of this series were sold out by the end of November, they are limited in production and quite rare. I’m luck to get it. Some of the car nuts who procrastinated are getting hit with “market adjustments” of $50,000 over sticker. Ya snooze, ya loose.

Carbon fiber door sill, good for another 5 hp.

MemberI put about 100 miles on it today, still breaking it in with almost 900 more miles to go. Keep the revs under 5k and no more than half throttle. This car cuts the road like a razor, makes the turbo feel heavy. Highway cloverleaf at 65? With ease. Took a few friends for a very short ride onto and off the highway. From the corner of my eye I could see them tense up when I got onto the on ramp. I was cruising at a good clip and they had no idea I was going to make that turn. Car handled it with ease. I can’t wait to get this car on the track.
Got on the highway early this AM and did a leisurely row through the gears, ended up going 110mph! Then I saw the state po po coming the other way. It’s not like this car blends in with the dark colored SUVs and trucks on the road. He kept on going and so did I.March 10, 2007 at 7:36 pm #16398Joe
MemberSteve, that thing needs wings if you go any faster!

MemberSteve,
Nice car, but I am starting to get worried about you going around all those corners. I truly understand about your neck hurting, but one of these days I have to get you going straight. You can ride with me.
