All registered members have the ability to post pictures directy to the forum. There are two ways to do this:

    1. Direct link from a photo hosting website with a url link
    2. Upload directly from your computer.

We will focus on the 2nd in this How-To

    1. Left Click on the “Insert/Edit Image” Icon

    2. Left Click “Browse Server”

    3. Click “Browse” to search your computer for the image you would like to upload

    4. Double “Left Click” on the image you would like to upload

    5. Left Click “Upload New File”

    6. Look through the Image Gallery for the picture you uploaded. Left Click on the image.

    7. You have the option to change the size of the image. 400 is about the maximum width to display correctly. Just click “OK” and that’s it.

Your picture will now appear in the Text Editor. Type your post and “Submit”

If you have any question, please post here or email andy@thefabricatornetwork.com

Ya know, when the computer folks installed a 22″ monitor at my desk, they wanted to move the printer on my right side to my left, I shot down that idea as it’s always been on my right. Always. Same movement to get to it for years.

    Creature of habit…

Thanks for going the extra mile Andy!

Did you disable the popup? I had to disable the popup for the FabNet but that is a IE or Firefox setting. You must allow popups if you want to add a picture.

I’m with Gene, to damn many click this, press that. What was wrong with the other way?? I’m through with pics. For me, it’s taken the fun out of this site.

Hell Andy, even your own avatar is distorted! As is mine.

    Dave,

Bear with me here. I am working on it. I am not an expert computer programmer and I am researching the issue you are having with uploading a picture.

The reason for the upgrade was because I couldn’t hold off any longer. The new modules, continued support and continued fixes were not for the old version. I waited as long as I possible could.

With the new upgrade comes new issues and I am working to fix them (if possible).

As for the issue with the Avatar. That is a bug that is being fixed in the next release. What is happening is the parameters to keep the avatar the original size is not there. I basically stretches your image to 128×128 pixels instead of leaving it alone. This has absolutely nothing to do with the image upload feature.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Yea….Lighten up, Dave. Geez……….

Gene, one of the things I had to watch is my tool bars. Google and Yahoo tool bars have their own pop-up blockers. Gotta turn them ALL off before the picture uploads will work.

MY avatar is gorgeous, Andy. As usual.
