MemberI had to post this picture. Its been six months since the first time he stepped on ice. After intense professional skating lessons and nearly two months of hockey practice, this last Sunday was his first game. He plays center or left or right wing. Even though they lost, he still got nothing but net.

MemberBlack & Gold, a Pittsbugh-ly perfect color scheme. Have you had him try out for the position of enforcer yet Mory?

MemberWell, I thought my next post would have been that he got his first hat trick, but noooo he decided they needed to start winning games and needed a good gaolie. So low and behold he decided to be gaolie. With minimal practice in the garage with Dad, today he played his first game as goalie. That was the longest 60 minutes of my life. I must say I walked away really proud. They won the game and they other team had 16 shots on goal. One ricocheted back out and got hit from the other side of the net. It snuck in behind him. Nearly a shut out. I don’t drink, but this kind of stuff would make a father think about it. I added the final score at the top of the photo.

MemberMory,
You should be proud. Nice job.Any kid that sees where the problem is, and gives up the prestige of being a scorer to be a blocker to solve that problem is a kid I want to have working for me. He can start as soon as it is legal for him.
