Norm, I know you are getting ready to do a Avonite Goldmine Job. ONCE AGAIN I have adhesive trouble!! I was working on the edge buildup for a vanity. I had trouble with a tube about 2 weeks ago. I had to purge almost 1/2 of the tube before catalyst came out. My rep was very attentive and quickly took care of that.

I received another tube of the clear LOT # 610241 MFG 10/24/06 Tech Product Brand. Since my first problem, I have resorted to the ole stick and mixing the 2 lines of adhesive just in case. (never do it with Integra) On this 6 ft front edge I ran one line down the back edge, then back up the front edge. Mixed the 2 lines, applied the edge, clamped. (This immediately after putting adhesive on a seam block on another piece of counter so there was a lot of adhesive run through the tip before applying to the vanity). We did this edge yesterday afternoon, and left for the day. Came back in this morning and about a 9inch section on the end had not dried. About 2 months ago on another problem, a lady had called me from Plexis apologizing for the bad adhesive. She assured me they knew they had problems and had corrected them. She was very polite and I appreciated the call. But it still continues. This was their 3rd strike with me. They are OUT!

    Wasting the day away……. UGH

Thanks Kelsey, I’ll check with Rugby, they are my Staron distributor and also carry Integra Adhesive, I just need to check and see if they have clear, if not I guess I’ll be calling Ray. I am going to be needing some more accessory adhesive anyway, that’s the problem with a 2″ stacked edge, no wood to attach the dishwasher to.

Dave, I have the adjustable ones, I bought 100 of them, and still have about 80. I will be talking to you about sandpaper soon though.
