We have been in the process of building a new home over the last few months. When it came time to the countertops, as usual I let my wife go and make the decisions. She choose Caeserstone Carmel, I was pushing for Corian Cocoa Brown BTW.

I took the plans to 3 local fabricators and asked for a quote. I received the quotations back and was surprised by the difference in pricing.

    4-Undermount vanity bowls

    1-Kitchen Undermount

Total Material 2 Slabs of 2cm

    Edge 3cm Square

Pricing did not include the sinks. (James from Affinity hooked me up, great pricing and quality)

    Quote #1 = $12543 Plus Tax 14%

    Quote #2 = $ 9783 Plus Tax 14%

    Quote #3 = $ 4700 Including Tax

I normally do not go with the lowest quote, I like to choose the price in the middle after I investigate all parties. I ended up going with the lowest price because it did save me over $6000. The tops were installed Friday after a week of delays, but I can say they are perfect. I am totally satisied. I was expecting to get a call saying he misquoted but it was flawless great experience.

Can anyone tell me if it was a low quote or the others were trying to get rich?
