Any one out there have any experience with this company? I am certified with them but have never used them. I do know that they have a bunch of ex jetta guys, which makes me nervous by it’self. I heard one report that they have gotton past the initial problems that any new company has and that the material is okay. I am thinking about checking them out again to see if it is a good addition to my offerings.

    Thanks to all.

    Hey Al,

I have done a few vanities in the Mystera product. It appears to be an acrylic/polyester blend but I’m not entirely sure. I do know that it has the smell of a poly when cutting, but it doesn’t seem to be quite the same. Anyhow, have had a pretty good experience with them so far. I guess one thing to keep in mind is that their material is made to look more natural and every sheet has a unique graining and or look to it, so no two sheets will be identical. It can sometimes be an issue when doing seams. Other than that, I think it has a great look, and can be used for some interesting applications. We are redoing our showroom and adding a display of the Mystera. Hope it brings in some business for us.

    Al,

We just got some information about a vanity program from our Mystera Distributor. We are probably going to start working with that program, but haven’t purchased yet. I love the look of the product. Has a very natural look to it.

We do a fair share of Mystera. The one problem we had was seaming island tops. We just couldn’t get the veins to lock correct. Now when we have an island we use there 4×8 sheets. Where about to do a big bath job using there product. I think Mory may be doing the same.

We do about 2 or 3 kitchens in Mystera a month. We buy direct from the factory since our local distributor stopped handling it, so we are able to purchase oversize sheets. Material is very cool. We try and v-groove or drop the edge when possible to carry the pattern through the edge.

We need to look at the vanity program, but since we have no distrubutor, nobody is pushing it.

Tomorrow we are installing a shower in Mystera complete with a ceiling. We have done a dozen showers or so since we began fabricating the material. They look incredible.

    Matt,

Good idea about the showers. Maybe you could post a picture.
