How many of you are listed on sheet manufacturer’s websites as fabricators of their product, and how many leads do you receive from said website?

We are on several and it can pay off but I don’t get a lot. I have been getting a lot of calls since I was put on the PaperStone site as a dealer and I have never done anything but cut a ton of cutting boards.

Can’t hurt. We get lots referrals from their website to ours. Don’t know how many jobs we get, but I am sure it helps.

We are on several manufacturer’s websites. We actually get alot of phone calls from architects and designers. The designers not only spec a product to the generals, but in some cases they have requested that we are the fabricator of choice. Sometimes you have to wine and dine, but it pays off.

    Norm,

When you set up your new website, make sure you get “webstats” so you can track the referrals to you site. The referrals are the website that direct a potential customer to your site. You should be able to go through your stats and see who is directing customers. Depending on your area, you should at least get a few per month from all the different sites.

Of all the sites we are listed on, only Silestone has gotten me a measurable amount that I can trace directly back. I got about five a week when they started which was awesome.

Andy, that is a great idea. I will have to check that out.
