MemberAny of youins ever experienced kidney stones? I had to had a 7mm sized one laser blasted and extracted through my….aw just youtube that part. Anyway after the stent was hoisted (holy crap! painful) , I figured my system would go back to normal. Now Im having spikes in my blood pressure 160/94. My doc thinks it’s kidney related.
Anyone been through this, the heart thing has me worried more than the kidney. Doc says kidneys are clear and good.November 8, 2012 at 7:49 am #73526Tom M

MemberHey Dave ,very
sorry . I just passed two Kidney stones a few months back .Very painful .For me
once they gave me the morphine life was good. The BP might be from any
medicine they gave you. Like flow max .
Not sure My BP was
good. My wife’s BP was bad as I had to stay home for the day and she doesn’t
want me home on work days.November 8, 2012 at 11:25 am #73530Len Smith
MemberDid those kidney stones have the look of a white, powdery substance that floats through the air of your shop? ;^)

Memberthanks guys. Mine were made of oxcalates and calcium. So much for my garden since we grow spinach, cale and swiss chard.
My doctor said do to the long blockage my kidneys produced extra renin that can bump up BP. My BP was somewhat lower this afternoon so i went for a short very mild run. No problems and BP was better later in the day.
My unsolicited advise, friends drink lots of water and all the time. All that I have read leads back to dehydration above all else. Im glad I dont ignore unusual symptom anymore, it always turns out to be something. When I had my episode I was working in my shop. Holy moly Joly! Pain and very acute.
Jon….ouch! did you pass yours or have them blasted? Ouch Ouch Ouch!

Pain!AGONY!!!!and more PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve had three, the first was a 7mm Jack stone PAIN!PAIN!! that took over 8 months to locate it and it was before they started to blast them. I wasn’t able to take pain med because it makes me extremely sick during the 8 months before surgery. The pain lasted 40min to 90min about 7 to 10 days apart. When it finally stopped moving they found it and pulled it out, all 7mm. I was dizzy and faint for a month after surgery. My last 2 where a piece of cake only 2 and 3mm and I passed them after riding my son’s drag sled.

MemberOUCHY! DANI!!! do you have to alter your diet? yes 2 and 3 mm should be a breeze after the ureter scope …makes the path way..way bigger. You made me double over and run take a Vicodin! do not google “elk horn” shaped kidney stone.

MemberI found out that Melamine causes kidney stones and all those years as a cabinet maker and cutting up panels was the real cause, so my diet was not a big factor.

MemberOMG, Dani,
