MemberHi Everyone!
As a new member to this site, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself and our company to you. As some of you may or may not know Joest Abrasives, we have established ourselves as a wold-class manufacturer of a unique and virtually “dustless” brand of Abrasives. Our parent company, Jost GMBH has recently opened up a manufacturing facility in North America to better serve our valued customers here in the US and Canada. Please visit our web-site at http://www.joest-abrasives.com to familiarize yourself with our outstanding line. As Managing Director of operations, I would be happy to hear from you. Please feel free to contact me at 519-967-8401 or drop me an email at robert.seke@joest-abrasives-na.com
Hope to hear from you all real soon!
Regards,
Robert Seke

MemberHello Roberrt. What do you like about your paper?

MemberHi Jon,
Joest Abrasives manufactures a sanding disc that utilizes multi-holes as well as a sponge layer permanantly fused onto the paper itself. This is important for many reasons:
1: As you are aware, most sanding pads, which are used after a short while tend to become concave or even convex (due to the operator tipping the pad or in some cases not flat from the manufacturer) . Thus, when you sand you are unlikely to sand on the full diameter of the sandpaper, primarily sanding on the high spots. With the foam backing, you pick up any imbalaces of the pad. In other words, high spots and low spots are equalized. Pressure is uniform and distributed evenly across the surface. Quality of finish is optimal.
2: The foam allows a “jet-stream” between the base of the paper and the loops of the sanding pad. With this jet-stream, you allow suction not only north and south through the vac. holes, but east and west as well. That is why when you remove our used discs, you will see that the sponge actually became a “storage chamber” for the dust. Suction is maximized.
3: The foam backing also extends velcro life signifantly of your sanding pad. Obviously, with a foam layer, friction and heat which wears down a loop will be a non-issue.
4: With the multi-holes and sponge layer, your surface temperature is also reduced.
5: The clean-up time for post-sanding is greatly reduced. Certainly, if I was an operator a clean environment benefits not only my health but my clean-up time as well.
In conclussion Jon, Joest Abrasives takes sanding to a new level. We can assure you that all I have said will be validated once you try the system.
Thanks for the questions. Hope I answered them clearly…
Regards,
Robert

MemberDave,
Holy Crap, Dave. I got your pricing today and buying Joest sandpaper from you is like getting two for the price of one. I like the sandpaper over any other paper we have used, but now I even like it better. Thanks for the savings.

Joe,
1. Websites don’t run by themselves without the support of “ADVERTISERS”. Unless you have a pile of money somewhere I don’t know about that you would like to send to me.
2. What three companies would you be referring to?
3. Remember, if this site starts to overwhelm you, you can always go somewhere else.
4. All companies are welcome to participate with the FabNet. Nobody will be excluded.
5. Note that I have rave reviews about Festool, Klingspor, Dynabrade, Zip walls and others. None of which “Advertise” here on the FabNet. That doesn’t change my mind about the quality of their product.

MemberAndy:
I have complete confidence in your ability to not let advertising dollars compromise your integrity. I was just pullin’ your chain a bit.
Sorry if I tugged too hard,
Joe
