MemberNot sure if this is from the mighty, mighty FabNet traffic flow, but it seems to take awhile to load the pages.
It does look like a nice site, guys. Good job.

KeymasterI thought that was my computer. It loaded slow for me too. It may just be a slow hosting company. Just came out so we can watch it grow.

MemberThanks Andy. It was a team effort and took a looooong time to get it looking the way we wanted it to.
The main improvements we wanted to make were:
Easier access to info (cross reference charts, Tech data, Video, instructions)
Better overall appearance
Order tracking functionality-link to DHL and enter your Invoice# and zip code
Fillable order forms, credit apps, etcOne of the comments we have heard so far regarding the site is the text size could be larger. This project is by no means complete and we would welcome FabNet member comments on how we could improve the site further.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Orlando.

KeymasterBuy a faster server host. There is so much on each page it takes a long time to load. I had the same problem with the FabNet. For $50 a month you should get the speed you need.
Text size needs to be bigger.
Use Bold text to highlight each point in the FAQs page.
The pictures are great. Real bright and sharp.
I’ll take a look at the site again to make further comments. I don’t want to beat you over the head with the little things that need to be done. I know how hard it is to make the site like you like.

MemberChad:
Your new site looks great and loaded right away for me.
In your estone tutorial, after cleaning the seam, number one is apply the tip to the applicator. Maybe I’m just paranoid, but I like to put the glue in the gun, remove the cap and see activator moving with my own eyes before I put on a tip. I couldn’t do it any other way, it would drive me crazy until that joint started to jell. I like excitement in my life, but that’s a little too edgy for me.
Ooooohhhhhhh,
Joe

MemberI had a problem with the site loading slowly also. May just be my computer. (several year old laptop). I am looking to see if there is a color matched to Wilsonarts Earthstone Brownstone. My distributor is clearing it out (not sure if it was ever released) at a really good price. I was curious if there was an Integra color out there for this color SS.
I’ll try the site again later, maybe I’ll have better luck then.

MemberIf I ordered Integra from Integra other than my Distributor, where does it ship from? I get my sheets overnight, just wondering. One of my distributors get $37.50 for a tube… hummm Not sure I could wait a week to get it shipped across the country.

MemberKC,

MemberIt’s all about planning ahead guys. It really is not that hard for us once we got used to it, we just look ahead on our jobs and order for them in advance. It takes usually three days to get here. I know it is much easier ordering glue with the sheets and have it come in together and if it is working for you why would you change?
For us it was not working, we were constantly having problems with our adhesives and I wanted….NEEDED some consistency and with a slight adjustment with the way we order we now have it. I did a job this weekend and used Corian adhesive because we had it in stock. The glue was only about a month old and it took TWO HOURS to set up and even then there were spots I was not sure about so I waited till the next day (Sunday) to finish. I would not have that problem with Integra.
I guess it comes down to how things are working for you now and if it is worth having to plan ahead on your jobs to change it.

KeymasterWe stock the colors we use most ofter, but I see your point. We typically order the glue ahead of time when we get the job, place the sheet order and wait. I don’t care if they come in at the same time, just need them before fabrication. The savings is worth it though.

MemberWe have decided to try Integra Charcoal for the Wilsonart Brownstone and Integra Khaki for the WIlsonart Russett Melange.
I’ll let you know how they turn out.

MemberChris, How did they work?
Thanks, Kyle

MemberThey worked fine. Stacke edges look a little off but I think that may be a result of the particulate and distribution in the Brownstone. It is very dark brown, Never should have put it in a kitchen but it was for a good friend at a great rate (material costs). They live next door so it can be refinished as needed.
Lesson learned.
