Karl, I have no secret nor do I google. On this one I typed in “solid surface seams” and immediately went like page 6 instead of the sponsored mung or the 1st 2 pages.

I don’t have a lot of time as we are busy after the show but I make time.

    Another good find, Dave.

As I read it, even I can sense this is viewed from a very biased viewpoint. I hope our report does not come off this badly in terms of wearing your preference on your sleeve.

Tom, you need to scroll around that site. I think they are pushing solid surface unless I’m missing what you’re saying. The graph they have says so. Although with a UK address it may be a European thing.

That’s exactly my point. It is a pro-solid surface site.

I’m not saying it’s inacurate, although the scoring and the nature of the comparissons is often silly.

This is similar to that article al reminded us of written by a DuPont person. It’s not that it’s wrong, it’s just not positioned too far up the credibility ladder, by nature of who is presenting the info. Great article. I hope for some verification on the claims and I’ll be all over handing it to my customers. I think it was al who pointed out the bacteria study (and why anyone cites that study, I’ll never know) was sponsored by the steel industry.

I often wonder about the claim by DuPont that 98% would buy Corian again. I can attest that the number is high, and deservidely so, but 98% percent?

I wonder if the question to Mrs. Homeowner on the survey is:

If we could guarantee that the tops will be installed by the finest looking hunks in the business, and you are served caviar ringside as they do their thang, would you consider buying Corian again?

Sometimes, a biased report can do more harm than good.

Tom, are you paving the way for more swollen head jokes?

    Good point, Gordon.

I suppose it all depends on the stiffness of your doo, and the resistance to it’s departorial action from inevitable contact with the door jambs.

    but over-all?

    Yeah, sure. What the hey.

I have an 8 7/8″ head, so the more the merrier.
