While driving home on icy roads and in 5 inches of snow, I began feeling sorry for the fabricators and suppliers in the Southern parts of the country, both east and west. They will never experience the feeling of pucker power. That is when the truck goes sideways on an icy road at 55 miles per hour and you quickly over correct and do a couple 360’s. Then back on your way. Also they can’t build snowmen, have snowball fights, and never know what it is like to not feel your toes. To breathe cold crisp air, to scrape the ice off the the windshield in the morning and broom off the snow. to work a long day and then come home to shovel off the walks and driveway. You mustn’t forget about seeing your breathe on those cold mornings or driving down the road and have to pull over to clear the ice off of the windshield wiper blades to see. Now with that said, you would think of all of the technology and the cost of new automobiles, someone could find a way to keep the ice off of the windshield and the wiper blades. But no, we can have a car that can correct itself when you lose control. If you could see where you were going, you wouldn;t need that feature. Oh well, I love the cold. You guys are really missing out.

    Mory I beg to differ:

    • They will never experience the feeling of pucker power. That is when the truck goes sideways on an icy road at 55 miles per hour and you quickly over correct and do a couple 360’s We do this year round on red clay roads after a rain,, and usually on purpose

    • have snowball fights, and never know what it is like to not feel your toes We have dirt ball fights, and if you tie your boots really tight when you go hunting you lose feeling in your toes

    • To breathe cold crisp air, to scrape the ice off the the windshield in the morning We actually do scrape ice off the windows 3 times a year, like clock work

    • broom off the snow I have personally experienced snow in S Ga atleast 5 times in the last 10 years or so

So there, You guys can have the snow I’ll come visit to ski.

High here Tue 70 something and sunny.

    Jon,

The ice probably froze the DSL cable

    Ice belongs in the freezer

    Guys

Yes the ice does belong in the freezer, but only for those mixed drinks. The only other place is on the pond and lakes for ice fishing.

You snow bound guys are very clever. Dave maybe you should add this to your line. The shipping would probably kill you though

    Jon,

I think we scraped some frost on the windshield once about four years ago. But that was only if you needed to leave before 7am because after that it melted. By the way, we have the fans going in the shop since it is in the mid eighties here.

I agree with Wade, ice is for Scotch. And Mory, we make our snowmen out of sand.

Jon, re: “real men scrape Ice”

I always thought smart men move south so as not to have to waste time scraping said ice. But hey, to each his own. But not to worry, with all the “global warming” going on you won’t have to do it much longer Jon. hahaha

Don’t let fedsawdave fool ya. He may live in Florida but he’s still the color of copier paper. but with red hair.

    Ok Dave, lets have it……

Good point about the global warming. So in about 20 years . No one will live in Florida. It will be a waste land.
