I need your help on this one. An interesting tool has been presented to me. Picture your 5″ Air sander, (Dynabrade, Porter-Cable, Beaver etc…) with a hose attached that has a water pump on the bottom. Drop the hose in a 5 gallon bucket and proceed to wet sand for those high gloss finishes on solid surface or marble.

Many on here talk of wet sanding past a certain grit to attain a gloss or high gloss finish. Obviously, a spray bottle would be required. Seems like it would work great with 3M Trizact or the Jost SG line of abrasive.. While most 5″ air sanders are from $129.00-$179.00 in price, this would sell for $299.00. I’m bringing a few in so anyone that wants to use and abuse this tool to see if it’s worth its weight, let me know.

Dave, we wet sand on occasion when using some colors, but a spray bottle is fine. Kinda of nice not to drag a hose around, so a few squirts every three or four minutes is plenty good.

Marble, I wouldn’t know if it would help or not.

Al, the hose that comes with it is no thicker than a pencil. No weight whatsoever.
