Has any one worked with this material? The mica in it is kicking our butt. We need some suggestions on the best way to sand the top and edges. We have been using a 80 grit paper on a Festool sander. We have tried a low speed and hi. If anyone has any suggestions on how to make this a little easier, it would be greatly appreciated.

    80 grit?????

That sounds like grinding not sanding.

Not familar with the material, sorry.

Are you trying to get a final finish or are you just having trouble sanding with the 80grit. 80 grit is fine for leveling a seam. Then sand your way up to at least 220 grit and scotchbrite for a nice even finish.

Post a little more detail, I am sure we can figure out the problem. If you want, just give me a call 714-393-5282. Be more than happy to help.
