MemberGear head alert. In your travels, can someone find me a 1969-1972 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible with a W-30 package. Of course, If I decide to buy one, I’ll have to raise the money by now charging at least $2000.00 per, for a GEM sander.
I must own one. Can’t a boy dream???
What if any is the muscle car that you would buy if money was no object?

MemberMy 1st car was a ’69 Grand Prix. Didn’t take long for a 16 yr old to burn through the tires being that it had a 455 under the hood.

KeymasterNot to get off the subject here but my first car was a baby blue 72 VW Beetle. Then I hit a Ford Astro Van and turned the thing into a beer can. Now I drive a Honda Mini Van. When will this nightmare end?

MemberI didn’t even know they had a 455. A friend had a bonneville with a 400. Air conditioned. The altertnator could power a house.Tom

MemberDave,
If you are seriously looking for that Oldsmobile, I could probably find you one. I have restored cars since I was 20 years old. I have had several show cars from ’71 Hemi Cuda’s, ’66 and ’67 Chevelle Super Sports, ’65-’67 Nova’s, ’69 Pro Street Camaro (that had 1200 HP). These were all show cars, but I drove them all. The last one I built was a 1935 Chevy. It took me two years to find it, but all the pieces were there. It only had 550HP. It had Air Ride Suspension. It lowered itself all the way to the ground and we did all the work including the paint. We built our own motors, shortened our rearends, and boxed all of our frames. I’ll post some pictures below.
