Tom, It is a Stew-Mac kit from 25 yrs ago. He bought it to build himself and got as far as the inlaying the peg head and gluing the top to the side set. It’s modled a Gibson A-style. The top is carved spruce but the back is pressed. He asked where I was from before Alaska, when I said Seth Thomas clocks he asked if I knew how to set up grandfather clocks. Of course I do! That is the trade. It will make a great tote along instument. This gent has played in circles with Tony Rice!!!
I hope to have some adult beverages with him soon and get to know him more.
