The guys over at the NSRA site say ink will bleed in even if sealed. It supposedly is one of the hardest stains to get out.
I have never heard of the adhesive in post it notes etching, but some stones will etch with masking tape, ran across it several times this year on stonesites and consumer complaint boards.
