Interesting. I looked up PVC from a link from that article and looked into it. PVC isn’t used in countertops, or at least solid surface countertops, but it has been known for lead contents leaching out as well.
I might be wrong, but I am thinking that PVC isn’t used for food containers, polyetheylene or polyproylene are used instead. Might be because of the heavy metal plasticers needed or maybe it is the problem that your article refered to.
Here is the PVC link I found from the article, and it shows that there are other suitable materials available to replace the PVC products. In your opinion, should the govt provide incentives or regulations to push the PVC manufacturers to fix the problems or should the effort be toward urging replacing the PVC entirely?
